Why Bicycle Highways in Urban Areas?

 

  • To use a bike is modern and green
  • More people bike to work, school, university
  • Share of bicycle traffic of the modal split grows
  • E-bikes are attractive for long distances
  • The better the infrastructure the more people will use bikes!

 

Therefore:
Less cars, traffic jams, accidents, air and noise pollution.
More capacities in public transport, e.g. bus, metro, urban train!

 

 

 

 



The Planning Association at Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE 2016)

DIGAE is an international platform aimed at promoting global public sector excellence through case studies, excellence showcases, conference discussions, participatory workshops and live working sessions. DIGAE is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
